This Happens All The Time:
I was at the dog park the other day when a lady comes in with her 1 year old intact male Springer Spaniel. The dog approaches Apollo and I immediately notices the Springers stiff back and tail with his hackle fur standing I could tell this was not good sign.

So, I immediately stepped between the two dogs to protect Apollo and it's a good thing I did, because in the blink of an eye he started going after Apollo snarling and growling. Luckily I got between them in time to stop any type of injury but it could have been very ugly.

The point is this, if you have an intact male dog and you know or you don't know for sure if he is aggressive, DON'T bring him to a dog park to find out. Dog parks are for dogs to have fun not for you to find out if your dog is going to attack my dog or any other friendly dog in the park.
This is what happened to Ace back in 2008 in the blink of an eye by a 110 # Mastiff. He could have easily been killed but I was able to break up the fight.
$700 later he looked like this!
